ASHNHA Annual Conference Participants,

Following is some information to help you make the most of the 2018 ASHNHA Annual Conference next week.

Start time & registration: Registration is open in the Columbia Ballroom foyer Tuesday from 1 to 5 p.m. and Wednesday from 7:15 a.m. to 12 p.m. Breakfast on Wednesday morning starts at 7:15 a.m. and the day continues with keynote speakers and breakout sessions followed by a reception and trade fair from 5:45 to 8 p.m. Thursday morning breakfast is at 7:45 a.m. with the program concluding at 3 p.m.

ASHNHA board meeting: The board meeting is scheduled for Tuesday from 2 to 5 p.m. (ASHNHA board members only.) If you are a board member and unable to attend, please email your proxy to sara@ashnha.com. After the board meeting, there will be a board dinner at 6 p.m.

Support the ASHNHA Political Action Committee: ASHNHA’s Political Action Committee (PAC) needs your contribution to support a strong health care system in Alaska. Click here to make a contribution and help us meet our goal of $10,000.

ASHNHA, through its PAC, has a tradition of supporting candidates for public office. Because the PAC falls under the jurisdiction of the Alaska Public Offices Commission, certain rules apply. Here is a summary of the rules.

Donations to the PAC may not exceed $500 per year from an individual.
Corporate donations are NOT allowed.
Checks (non-corporate) and credit cards (non-corporate) are accepted by the PAC.
The ASHNHA PAC does not accept cash.

Directions: The Alyeska is located 40 miles south of Anchorage in the town of Girdwood. From the airport, take the Seward Highway heading south and look for signs to Girdwood, the home of the Alyeska Resort. At the Tesoro Gas Station, take a left-hand turn and follow the Alyeska Highway for three miles. You will come to a "T" intersection - turn left and go one mile to reach the hotel.

Transportation to Alyeska: For those of you not renting a car, the Alyeska contracts with the Four Seasons Transportation Group. Please contact the Alyeska concierge desk (907) 754- 2108 for rates and to reserve a ride.

Hotel information: Hotel check-in time is 4 p.m. and check-out is 11 a.m. The hotel offers free high-speed internet access in all guest rooms as part of your resort fee. Complimentary wireless internet service is available in all public areas of the hotel.

Dress for the meeting: Please dress comfortably in business casual attire.
